The Stash in Avoriaz was awarded "The World's Best Ski Run" in a recent poll conducted by CNN.

In an effort to find the best run in the world the broadcasting Corporation enlisted the help of a number of skiers, snowboarders and journalists including; Andrew Weibrecht, Olympic medalist and U.S. ski team member; John Stifter, editor at U.S. ski bible Powder magazine; Mike Douglas, the godfather of free-skiing and creator of the world's first twin-tip ski; and Nicola Iseard, editor of the UK's top ski magazine, Fall Line. The panel picked runs from Chili, India, New Zealand and of course Europe and North America but the run that scored the highest wasThe Stash.

A pretty contentious choice but we like it none the less. On a snowy day with a few friends it is my favourite run in the Portes du Soleil but whether it is the best in the world is a matter of personal opinion. What's yours?

Have a look through CNN's 100 Best Ski Runs and see what you think.
