You will find a multisports court in the centre of Avoriaz with grounds available for free.
Catch the latest films and releases in Avoriaz on your winter or summer holiday. Some cinemas open their doors early on a bad weather day, otherwise you'll find most screenings in the evenings. Look out for VOST for English speaking films.
There are fitness facilities in Avoriaz if you want to keep fit while you're here. The Tourist Office also offers fitness classes in the summer including Zumba, Body Sculpt, Cardio Step and Hatha Yoga which sometimes take place outdoors (no booking needed, find the full programme at Tourist Office).
There are basketball courts available for free at the centre of resort. Tournaments are organised regularly by the tourist office.
Beach volleyball in the heart of the French Alps may sound strange but in Avoriaz you can hop on the sand and play a game of volleyball with your friends or family. Located in the centre of the resort, the beach volleyball courts can be used free of charge, and there are even beach volleyball tournaments and children's activities arranged regularly. Open every day.
The 'Aquariaz' centre is an aquatic paradise offering a huge water park made up of a gentle flowing indoor river, a Slidewinder (an aquatic halfpipe), a toddler's paddling pool and water playhouse, and a large pool with natural climbing walls.

Go to the ice-skating rink in Morzine for fun loops with friends and family. With a refreshment bar, music and lighting you can enjoy the indoor ice skating rink at Parc des Dereches all year round. Open during the day and with night sessions from 09:00-23:00 on Tuesday and Thursday, although be warned these are sometimes postponed due to hockey matches or special events.
There are bowling alleys in Avoriaz to keep you entertained on bad weather days, or if you're looking for something to do with a group.
Le Strike Roc Bowling Bar in Avoriaz is a year-round destination for fun, food, and friendly competition. During the off-season, the venue welcomes guests from Monday to Friday, 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 10pm, and on Saturdays from 4pm to 10pm, including public holidays and May bank holidays.

If you don't fancy climbing outdoors, or you're new to climbing and want to give it a go in an indoor centre, then Avoriaz has somewhere for you to go. Climbing equipment is normally provided, or you can bring your own and insurance is normally needed before you hit the climbing wall.

Most people probably don't immediately associate Avoriaz with shopping, but there are some very good shops in town. You can spend a very pleasant afternoon or après ski evening browsing the stores for gifts, new ski and snowboard kit, clothes, shoes, watches and jewellery.
If a more relaxing day is what you're after, there are plenty of therapists in Avoriaz who are ready and waiting to pamper and spoil you with a large range of treatments, from massages and facials to manicures and pedicures.

The resort plays host to a number of winter music festivals which take place across the resort and pistes, namely Rock the Pistes and Snowboxx in March. In summer, the Pass'portes du Soleil mountain bike festival is the biggest event for bikers, with the occasional Tour de France stage passing nearby.
