The prologue of the 2016 Criterium du Dauphine comes to Les Gets on 5th June, and leading up to the event a number of roads will be closed in the village.

Since the Route des Grand Alpes that passes through Les Gets is the main route to Morzine and Avoriaz, you may want to take note of this information and adjust your travel plans accordingly.

The event itself sees hundreds of cyclists setting off to climb the road to Mont Chery, a distance of 3.9km with a 9.7% incline.

On Friday 3rd June all roads are open, then on 4th June the Route des Metrallins, Route du Mont Chery and Route de Lassare will be closed (in purple below) except for residents with an authorised pass.

On race day, Sunday 5th June The Route des Grands Alpes 1 (in red below) will be completely closed between 05:00 and 17:00. Route des Grandes Alpes 2 (in green) will be closed except for residents with an authorised pass. Route des Metrallins, Route du Mont Chery and Route de Lassare will be completely closed from 10:30 to 15:00 and Route du Mont Caly will be completely closed from 11:00 to 14:30.
