L'Alpage du Crot Restaurant

Cosy mountain restaurant and bar on the piste from Avoriaz to Prodains

featured in Restaurants Updated

Famed for it's divine tartiflette, cooked on a woodfire poele in the main restaurant, this is a very popular spot for a lunch stop in Avoriaz, or for a drink on your ski back down to Les Prodains at the end of the day.

Located on the Crot piste which runs down from Avoriaz to Les Prodians, this restaurant is un-missable and incredibly inciting, especially when live bands are outside on the terrace. You can just ski up, unclip your skis and grab a table, inside or outside.

On the menu you'll find classic Alpine dishes, including the tartiflette which gets rave reviews! As well as savoury galettes, croutes, salads, burgers and warming soups. It's simple, good, mountain food, cooked with love.

Inside the small chalet it's very cosy and rustic, a real refuge from the outside elements. It can fill up quickly, so booking is recommended, and you can even pre-order your tartiflette so it's ready for your arrival!

On the warmer days later in the season there are often live DJs or bands on the terrace outside (or the roof!). Stop off for a drink and a dance on the side of the slope, and in a spectacular setting overlooking the cliffs in the valley below Avoriaz.
