Winter returned with a vengeance this week
Avoriaz had in the region of 40cm snow with some high winds blowing all the snow around and closing some lifts.
The avalanche risk has increased to 3/5 Considerable chance, as a result, so stay safe out there.

The resort plays host to a number of winter music festivals which take place across the resort and pistes, namely Rock the Pistes and Snowboxx in March. In summer, the Pass'portes du Soleil mountain bike festival is the biggest event for bikers, with the occasional Tour de France stage passing nearby.
